This innovative program trains you to apply what you learn outside the educational field in settings like nonprofit organizations, government, corporate training and more. You’ll also have the opportunity to earn competency badges throughout the program — a feature unique to Purdue’s learning technology master’s degree.

The online special education master’s program teaches the specific skill set required to plan and administer special education curricula while creating safe and effective learning experiences. Throughout the program, you’ll learn to use the latest strategies, technology and research to meet the unique needs of students with learning disabilities, mild developmental disabilities, emotional behavioral disorders and high-functioning autism.

Multiple pathway options ensure you can find the right program for you, whether you are already a licensed teacher or want to pursue licensure.

Online | 9 total credits | 2 Semesters

Develop your skills in learning design and technology with this interdisciplinary technology education program. You’ll gain a strong foundational understanding of learning systems design and the development and management of technology for learning. An elective is built into the course plan, allowing you to customize your studies for your professional interests. Elective course options are determined by course availability and start term.

After completing the Instructional Design Graduate Certificate, you can apply your credits toward the MS in Education in Learning Design and Technology program.
